Hey my name is Susanne and my partner's name is Tiffany and we thought you would like to know these important facts we found!
1. Aglukark sang hymns throughout her childhood and learned her first guitar chords at the age of 15 while attending an Eastern Bible camp in Cambridge Bay
2.In the mid 1990s, Aglukark was official spokesperson for the Northwest Territories Economic Development & Tourism/Arts & Crafts Department.
3.She said "I konw that the yonge people gave up a lot, temporarily losing their fathers to go to work out this self-government. Of course it worth it in the long run, but the song raises the feelings of children that i think need to be addressed!

Hi our names are Jen, Karl and Ashley. We are very excited to be working on this project. Thank you so much for all these wonderful facts. We will be sure to use them in our project. Some facts that we have found are:
1. She has a number one hit single.
2. She runs self esteem work shops for youth.
3. She was born in Churchill Manitoba.
4. She was raised in the North-west Territories.
5. Her songs send powerful messages to everyone who listens to them. "Kathy" is about suicide. "Still Running" Is about sexual abuse.

We all think that she is a powerful person with a deep soul and should be recognized as the greates aboriginal person!!!

Hello Everyone,

What an honor to be considered for Greatest Canadian Aboriginal Hero. Let me say that it is enough to be among such greats. I have been doing the singing and song writing for 15 years, I was one of those overnight success stories. I had a lot to learn as I was touring and even though it was all very scary and overwhelming, I decided to keep working at it and I think that I have been very lucky to last as long as I have.

I encourage all of you to persevere in your careers of choice, most importantly, finish school and always remember, you can do anything you set your mind on.

Susan Aglukark.
