TIPS FOR DETERMINING IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Before, during, and after reading, I:
-determine my purpose for reading
(Look for information that proves your hero is the best)
-decide where to look for information (use the internet sites provided)
-dig deep for possible sources(visit a local library, meet with other students)
-Select the important information (make a distinction between important vs. interesting information)
-Connect the information and think about how to organize it to achieve my purpose (creating a product)
Keep this is mind when making your video. Make sure you are NOT just doing a biography on your hero. It's okay to give info and stats but the purpose is to PERSUADE and convince others that your hero is the greatest hero. That's what Sook-Yin Lee did in the Terry Fox video we saw.
